What "State Farm approved" actually means — and what it doesn't. State Farm's Select Service program is a Direct Repair Program (DRP): participating shops agree to process claims faster, accept State Farm's labor rate and parts schedule, and meet cycle-time targets in exchange for claim volume. Being "in-network" with State Farm benefits State Farm and the shop, but it can create a conflict of interest for you. DRP shops' future volume depends on satisfying State Farm, not on maximizing your supplement or using OEM parts where aftermarket is cheaper. Orlando Auto Body handles State Farm claims but is not locked into Select Service. We advocate for you — file supplements when hidden damage is found, push for OEM on safety-critical parts, and take the time to do the job right.

Your right to use OAB on a State Farm claim. Arizona Revised Statute ARS §20-468 gives you the right to choose any licensed repair facility. State Farm can recommend Select Service shops. They cannot require you to use one, deny your claim because you chose OAB, or reduce your payment to penalize your shop choice (as long as rates are within market range, which OAB's are). If a State Farm representative tells you that you must use a Select Service shop, ask them to put that in writing. They typically won't, because written steering pressure violates ARS §20-468 and the Arizona Unfair Claim Settlement Practices Act (ARS §20-461).

What to say when you call State Farm. "I'm filing a claim for the accident on [date]. My shop is Orlando Auto Body in Mesa at 1007 S Center Street, Mesa, AZ 85210, phone (480) 844-4858. They'll coordinate with the adjuster directly." That's it. You do not need to ask State Farm's permission to use us. Once we have the claim number and adjuster contact, we handle the estimate, supplements, photos, and all adjuster communication.

What to expect from OAB on a State Farm claim. Same-day or next-day intake in most cases. Free written estimate photographed and emailed to the adjuster. Teardown on damaged panels to document hidden damage — rear-end and side-impact claims nearly always have hidden structural or sensor damage not captured in the parking-lot estimate. Supplement submitted with photos and OEM repair-procedure documentation. Adjuster approval coordinated without you having to make daily calls. I-CAR Gold Class technicians doing the actual repair. OEM-procedure paint matching and blend into adjacent panels. 4-wheel alignment check after any structural or suspension-adjacent work. ADAS recalibration in-house if any forward, rear, or side sensors were in the damage zone. Lifetime workmanship warranty on the repair.
