What GEICO's Auto Repair Xpress (ARX) is — and what it isn't. GEICO's ARX program is a Direct Repair Program (DRP): participating shops agree to process GEICO claims to GEICO's throughput, labor-rate, and parts standards in exchange for steady GEICO claim volume. The advantage for you: ARX shops often process claims faster. The tradeoff: ARX shops must keep GEICO happy to keep the volume, which creates a built-in pressure against thorough supplement filing and OEM-parts advocacy. Orlando Auto Body handles GEICO claims but is not in the ARX program. We file every supplement we find, push for OEM on safety and structural parts, and take the time to repair the vehicle to manufacturer specifications rather than to GEICO's cycle-time target.

Your right to use OAB on a GEICO claim. Arizona Revised Statute ARS §20-468 gives you the right to choose any licensed repair facility on your auto insurance claim. GEICO can recommend ARX shops — they cannot require them. Cannot deny your claim for using a non-ARX shop. Cannot penalize your payment because you chose OAB (as long as our rates are within market range, which they are). If a GEICO representative implies you must use ARX, ask them to put that in writing. They won't — because written steering pressure is actionable under ARS §20-461 (Arizona Unfair Claim Settlement Practices Act) and Arizona DIFI oversight.

What to say when you call GEICO. "I'm filing a claim for the accident on [date]. My shop is Orlando Auto Body in Scottsdale, AZ. Phone (480) 590-3135. They'll coordinate directly with the adjuster."
